Chili bean dip



  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chili powder - 1 Tbsp
  • catsup - 1/2 c
  • ground beef - 1/2 lb
  • minced onion - 1/2 c
  • dash of cayenne - 1 item
  • cumin - 1/4 tsp
  • Cheddar cheese, diced - 1/2 lb
  • can red kidney beans - 1 oz

How to make chili bean dip:

Cook beef in skillet until it loses its red color, stirring to crumble. Drain fat; add onion and cook until onion is tender. Add undrained beans and mash with fork to blend with meat. Stir in catsup, chili powder, salt, cumin and cayenne. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in cheese until melted. Serve hot as a dip with corn chips or other chips, Melba toast or crackers; or pile the hot mixture in miniature tart shells. Makes 2 1/2 cups of dip.
