Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt
- flour - 2 4
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- chili powder - 3 Tbsp
- ground beef - 2 lb
- black pepper
- cayenne pepper - 1/4 tsp
- slices bacon - 6 item
- large onion, coarsely chopped - 1 item
- large can tomatoes - 1 item
- green pepper, coarsely chopped - 1 item
- mushrooms, coarsely chopped - 1/2 lb
- can tomato paste and 2 cans water - 1 item
How to make chili:
Dice bacon and cook until crisp in pan. In drippings brown onion and mushrooms. Set aside. Brown beef. Pour off fat and add all remaining ingredients. Simmer 1 hour uncovered. Freezes well.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, One Dish meal, Chili.
