Ingredients/Components
- ground beef - 3/4 lb
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- can tomatoes, cut up - 1 oz
- can dark red kidney beans - 1 oz
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- chili powder - 2 3
- dried basil, crushed - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
How to make chili:
In a large saucepan, cook ground beef, onion, green pepper and garlic until meat is browned. Drain fat. Stir in undrained tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato sauce, chili powder, basil, salt and pepper. Bring to boil; reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 20 minutes. Makes 4 main dish servings.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, One Dish meal, Chili.
