Ingredients/Components
- salt
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- chili powder
- ground beef - 1 lb
- medium onion - 1 item
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
How to make chili:
Heat shortening in a saucepan. Add onion, beef and salt. Cook slowly for 5 minutes occasionally. Stir in chili powder, flour, tomatoes and water. Cover and cook over low heat for 1 1/2 hours. Stir occasionally. Add more water, if needed.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, One Dish meal, Chili.
