Ingredients/Components
- ground beef - 1 lb
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- mushrooms
- medium bell pepper, chopped - 1 item
- medium tomatoes, chopped - 3 item
- medium can tomato sauce - 1 item
- cans red beans - 3 item
- chili powder to taste I use 1/2 small can
How to make chili:
Brown ground beef and set aside. In a large skillet, place beans, tomato sauce, chopped tomatoes, mushrooms, salt, pepper and chili powder. Now add browned meat and mix well. Put on stove on low heat for 1 to 2 hours. One-half hour before serving, add onion and bell pepper; cook until slightly soft. Ready to eat!Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, One Dish meal, Chili.
