Ingredients/Components

  • very lean hamburger - 1 lb
  • large can kidney beans - 1 item
  • large can peeled tomatoes - 1 item
  • to 3 each green peppers, red peppers, yellow peppers and orange peppers, chopped* - 1 item
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • bottle Pepsi - 1 oz
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 item

How to make chili:

*More peppers (@x.3) for sweeter taste or increase meat for meatier taste.

In a frying pan, cook lean hamburger completely. Be sure to break apart. Put into a fine colander and rinse well to remove rest of fat. Allow to drain completely.

In a crock-pot or soup pot, mix peppers, onion, can of tomatoes and can of kidney beans and turn heat on. When hamburger has finished draining, add it to the heating mixture. Add spice mix, Pepsi and Worcestershire sauce; all of the spice package and Pepsi should be added. Worcestershire sauce added 1 splash each all the way around the pot and 2 in the middle. Stir well. Cook. If a crock-pot, needs to be on high and cook for 5 hours or until onion pieces are translucent. If in a soup pot, needs to cook on medium for approximately 1 hour or until onion pieces are translucent. Delicious served alone or over rice with grated cheese or chips.
