Ingredients/Components
- sifted flour - 2 c
- sugar
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- oil - 1/2 c
- lemon extract - 1 tsp
- orange extract - 1 tsp
- unbeaten egg yolks - 7 item
- cold water - 3/4 c
- egg whites - 7 item
- cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
- ungreased tube pan - 1 item
How to make chiffon cake:
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Make a well in middle. Add oil, egg yolks, water, orange and lemon extract; beat. In another bowl, beat egg whites with cream of tartar until whites form stiff peaks. Pour egg yolk mixture over beaten whites, folding until blended. (Do not stir).
