Chicken-vegetable soup
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- dried oregano, crushed - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- dried basil, crushed - 1/2 tsp
- chicken broth
- can tomatoes, cut up - 1 oz
- bay leaf - 1 item
- cubed, cooked chicken or turkey - 2 c
How to make chicken-vegetable soup:
In a large saucepan, mix chicken broth, onion, basil, oregano, bay leaf and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Stir in vegetables. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 6 to 8 minutes, or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Discard bay leaf. Stir in chicken and undrained tomatoes. Heat through.
