Chicken-vegetable soup
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1/4 c
- all-purpose flour - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chicken broth - 4 c
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- garlic clove, minced - 1 item
- chicken bouillon cubes - 4 item
- chopped, cooked chicken - 3 4
- celery ribs, sliced - 3 item
- can crushed tomatoes undrained - 1 oz
- can diced tomatoes undrained - 1 oz
- can diced tomatoes and green chiles undrained - 1 oz
- small carrots, sliced - 3 item
- small zucchini, diced - 1 item
How to make chicken-vegetable soup:
Bring first 8 ingredients to a boil in a Dutch oven; cover, reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes. Stir in chicken and next 5 ingredients. Stir together flour and 1/4 cup water until smooth. Stir into chicken mixture and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer, stirring often, 6 to 8 minutes or until thickened. Yield: 12 cups.Prep: 15 minutes. Cook: 38 minutes.
