Chicken tortilla casserole
Ingredients/Components
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- corn tortillas - 1 doz
- Cheddar cheese, grated - 1 lb
- can mushroom soup - 1 item
- can green chile salsa - 1 item
- or 5 chicken breasts, cooked, deboned and diced - 4 item
- small onion, diced or grated - 1 item
How to make chicken tortilla casserole:
In large mixing bowl mix first chicken, soups, salsa and onion. In large casserole or 9 x 13-inch pan, layer chicken mixture, cheese and tortillas. Repeat layers ending with cheese. Bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours in uncovered dish. Cut into squares and serve.Optional: One (4-ounce) can diced green chilies. Serves 6.
