Chicken tetrazzini
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- cream - 1/3 c
- chicken broth - 1 c
- mushrooms, sliced - 1/2 c
- sherry - 1 Tbsp
- few grains pepper - 1 item
- grated Italian cheese - 1/3 c
- few grains nutmeg - 1 item
- spaghetti in 1/4 inch pieces - 1/4 lb
- to 5 chicken breasts, cooked by method of choice - 4 item
How to make chicken tetrazzini:
You will need 9 x 12-inch dish.Combine first 4 ingredients, melting butter. Add broth slowly, stirring, and bring to boil for 2 minutes. Stir in cream; set aside. Meanwhile boil and drain spaghetti. Saute mushrooms in remaining butter with nutmeg, sherry and salt for 5 minutes. Spread spaghetti in dish. Pour 1/2 cream sauce over. Lay cooked chicken atop, then mushrooms. Pour over remaining sauce. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 400° until browned.
