Ingredients/Components

  • butter or margarine - 4 Tbsp
  • pepper - 2 tsp
  • clove garlic, minced - 1 item
  • can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
  • grated Cheddar cheese - 1 item
  • vermicelli
  • sliced mushrooms - 1/2 lb
  • stalk celery, chopped - 1 item
  • green pepper, chopped - 1 item
  • chicken, quartered - 3 (3
  • medium oinon, chopped - 1 item

How to make chicken tetrazzini:

Place chicken and pepper in 2 quarts water and simmer, covered, for about 1 hour or until tender. Remove chicken and set aside. Cook vermicelli in chicken broth until almost tender. Drain and place in 2-quart shallow baking dish.

Preheat oven to 350°. Saute garlic, pepper, onion and celery in butter. Add mushrooms and cook a few more minutes. Add soup and heat. Remove skin and bones from chicken. Cut into pieces and place on top of vermicelli. Cover with soup mixture and sprinkle grated cheese on top. Bake 40 minutes.
