Ingredients/Components

  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • dash of Tabasco - 1 item
  • chicken broth - 1 qt
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • grated American cheese - 3/4 lb
  • small cans mushrooms - 2 item
  • ripe olives, sliced - 2 c
  • large hen - 1 item
  • bay leaves - 4 item
  • spaghetti - 1 lb
  • onions - 2 item
  • cans tomatoes - 2 oz
  • small can tomato sauce - 1 item
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item

How to make chicken spaghetti:

Boil large hen with 4 bay leaves. Cook spaghetti according to directions. Remove all bones from chicken and dice.

Sauce: Saute 2 chopped onions in margarine. Add 2 cans of tomatoes and 1 small can tomato sauce. Salt and pepper to taste. Add Worcestershire sauce and dash of Tabasco. Add chicken broth and flour. Cook slowly to a thick sauce about 45 minutes. Take out bay leaves. Place ingredients in casserole dish in layers of spaghetti, chicken, mushrooms, olives and American cheese and cover with sauce. Bake 1 hour at 325°. (If you wish to freeze, let thaw 1 hour, then bake.)
