Chicken spaghetti
Ingredients/Components
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- dash of Tabasco - 1 item
- chicken broth - 1 qt
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- grated American cheese - 3/4 lb
- small cans mushrooms - 2 item
- ripe olives, sliced - 2 c
- large hen - 1 item
- bay leaves - 4 item
- spaghetti - 1 lb
- onions - 2 item
- cans tomatoes - 2 oz
- small can tomato sauce - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
How to make chicken spaghetti:
Boil large hen with 4 bay leaves. Cook spaghetti according to directions. Remove all bones from chicken and dice.Sauce: Saute 2 chopped onions in margarine. Add 2 cans of tomatoes and 1 small can tomato sauce. Salt and pepper to taste. Add Worcestershire sauce and dash of Tabasco. Add chicken broth and flour. Cook slowly to a thick sauce about 45 minutes. Take out bay leaves. Place ingredients in casserole dish in layers of spaghetti, chicken, mushrooms, olives and American cheese and cover with sauce. Bake 1 hour at 325°. (If you wish to freeze, let thaw 1 hour, then bake.)
