Ingredients/Components
- bay leaf - 1 item
- whole chicken breasts - 2 item
- peppercorns - 5 item
- sliced carrots - 4 item
- small onions - 2 item
- uncooked egg noodles - 3/4 c
- chicken bouillon to taste - 1 item
- stalks celery with tops - 2 item
How to make chicken soup:
Place first 6 ingredients in a large saucepan; add 2 to 3 quarts of water. Add bouillon to taste. Cover; bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 30 to 35 minutes, skimming off foam occasionally from top. Remove chicken; skin, bone and shred back into soup. Bring to boil again and add noodles until done.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Chicken, Whole chicken.
