Ingredients/Components
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 3 4
- vegetable shortening - 1/4 c
- plain flour - 1 c
- paprika - 1/2 tsp
- mayonnaise - 3/4 c
- plain yogurt - 1 c
- cooked chicken, diced - 2 c
- pickle relish - 1/2 c
- shredded cheddar cheese - 3/4 c
- crushed pineapple, drained - 1/2 c
- dried chives - 1 Tbsp
- stem celery, chopped - 1 item
- Sprinkle water over mixture and stir with fork
- Spread with topping
How to make chicken salad pie:
Sift flour and salt, cut in shortening. Sprinkle water over mixture and stir with fork. Form a ball. Roll into a 12-inch circle on floured surface. Fit into a 9-inch pie plate. Fold edges over to form rim and flute. Press chopped pecans into crust.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Poultry, Meat.
