  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • water - 3 4
  • vegetable shortening - 1/4 c
  • plain flour - 1 c
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • mayonnaise - 3/4 c
  • plain yogurt - 1 c
  • cooked chicken, diced - 2 c
  • pickle relish - 1/2 c
  • shredded cheddar cheese - 3/4 c
  • crushed pineapple, drained - 1/2 c
  • dried chives - 1 Tbsp
  • stem celery, chopped - 1 item
  • Sprinkle water over mixture and stir with fork
  • Spread with topping

How to make chicken salad pie:

Sift flour and salt, cut in shortening. Sprinkle water over mixture and stir with fork. Form a ball. Roll into a 12-inch circle on floured surface. Fit into a 9-inch pie plate. Fold edges over to form rim and flute. Press chopped pecans into crust.
