Chicken rice casserole
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/4 c
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- garlic salt - 1/4 tsp
- chicken broth - 1 c
- grated cheese - 1/2 c
- peas - 1/4 c
- cooked rice - 2 c
- can sliced mushrooms using the juice - 1 item
- cooked, cut up chicken - 2 c
- French onions - 1 item
How to make chicken rice casserole:
Heat together the broth and mushrooms, including the juice. Blend the flour, garlic salt, pepper and milk. Stir into the broth and cook until thickened. Remove from the heat and stir in the grated cheese. Mix together the cut up chicken, cooked rice and peas. Pour into a buttered casserole dish. Add the broth mixture. Top with French onions.
