Chicken puffs
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- boiling water - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour - 1/2 c
- mayonnaise - 1/3 c
- seasoned salt - 1/2 tsp
- finely chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
- white wine - 2 Tbsp
- freshly ground black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- grated Swiss cheese - 2/3 c
- finely chopped cooked chicken - 1 c
- chopped almonds - 1/2 c
- finely chopped tomato - 1/4 c
How to make chicken puffs:
Preheat oven to 400°. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt butter in water. Add flour and salt, stirring until mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. Add eggs and beat vigorously until smooth. Stir in cheese. Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove puffs from oven; cool and split. Combine remaining ingredients, adding more mayonnaise if needed to moisten. Fill each puff with a heaping teaspoonful of chicken mixture.
