- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- potatoes - 3 c
- chopped parsley - 1 Tbsp
- onions, chopped - 1 c
- celery, chopped - 1/2 c
- carrots, sliced - 2 c
- English peas - 1 c
- chicken large fryer - 1 item
How to make chicken pot pie:
Cook chicken, debone and reserve broth. Cut chicken in approximately 1-inch pieces. Put in large pan the potatoes, carrots, onions, peas and celery; cook until tender. Add 1 to 2 cups of broth and mix with cornstarch. Mix vegetables and 3 cups of cooked chicken. Pour broth, etc., over all and put in large baking dish. With mixture hot and bubbling, put biscuits on top and bake at 400° for 15 to 25 minutes or until biscuits are done and browned.Recipe categories: Casseroles, One Dish meal, Savory pies.
