Ingredients/Components

  • milk
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • chicken broth
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • sliced carrots - 1 c
  • diced, cooked chicken - 4 c
  • sliced celery - 1/2 c
  • poultry seasoning - 1/4 tsp
  • peeled, cubed potatoes - 2 c
  • ready pie crust - 1 item

How to make chicken pot pie:

Bring chicken broth to a boil. Add vegetables and simmer until tender. Blend flour with milk. Stir into broth mixture. Cook and stir over medium heat until slightly thickened. Stir in chicken, poultry seasoning, salt and pepper. Spoon into a 10-inch casserole. Place crust over filling in casserole. Seal edges. Make slits in crust. Bake at 425° for 30 to 35 minutes until crust is golden.
