  • milk - 1 c
  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • can chicken broth - 1 item
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • stick oleo - 1 item
  • can mixed vegetables, drained - 1 item
  • pastry shell - 1 item
  • small can English peas, drained - 1 item
  • hen or large fryer - 1 item

How to make chicken pot pie:

Cook chicken. Remove from bones; dice when cool. Melt butter in pan; stir in flour, soup, broth and milk. Cook over low heat. Stir until mixture thickens. Place chicken, mixed vegetables and peas in large, deep casserole dish. Add sauce, black pepper and salt. Mix well. Cover with pastry. Bake at 350° until crust is golden brown.
