Ingredients/Components
- flour - 1 c
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- cans chicken broth - 2 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- stick oleo - 1/2 item
- cans cream of chicken soup - 2 item
- cans drained Veg-All - 2 item
- or 5 chicken breasts - 4 item
- milk for soft dumpling-like topping or 1/3 c - 1 c
How to make chicken pot pie:
Cook chicken breasts until tender. Pull meat from bone; chop and put in large casserole dish. Add Veg-All. Add soup, mixed with broth. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix remaining ingredients. Spread over top. Bake at 350° for about 45 minutes, may be longer.Note: Another Variation - Instead of using the above flour mix, you may line casserole with 1 Pet-Ritz pie crust; add chicken mixture, then top with another Pet-Ritz pie crust. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes or until done. Reduce the chicken broth to 1 can; if you use this lower recipe, reduce the milk to 1/2 cup. Serves 6 to 8.
