  • self-rising flour

  • can cream of celery or mushroom soup - 1 item

How to make chicken pie:

Simmer chicken in water until done. Skin, bone and cut into pieces. Place in 9 x 12-inch pan. *Boil broth and soup together and pour over chicken. Make batter of flour, margarine, buttermilk and pepper. Spoon over chicken. Bake at 425° for 30 to 40 minutes.

*I cook 2 or 3 potatoes, cubed and 2 carrots, cut up (cooked separately) and add to chicken before pouring over the gravy.
