  • sour cream - 1 c
  • flour - 4 Tbsp
  • water - 4 c
  • peppercorns - 8 item
  • bay leaves - 2 item
  • parts - 1 cut
  • seasonings: salt, pepper and paprika - 1 item

How to make chicken paprikash:

Season chicken parts with salt, pepper and paprika. Saute in shortening until slightly browned. Add the four cups water, bay leaves and peppercorns. Cover and cook slowly until tender and chicken falls away from the bones. You may need to add more water.

Blend the flour in a little water and add the sour cream. To this, add a little hot broth and blend. Return to remaining broth in pot. Stir until mixed. Simmer, but do not boil. Serve over dumplings and sprinkle with paprika. Also goes well with cooked noodles.
