Chicken noodle casserole
Ingredients/Components
- milk
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- green pepper, chopped - 1/2 item
- buttered bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- chicken parts - 2 3
- noodles, uncooked
How to make chicken noodle casserole:
Baking Temperature: 350°. Baking Time: 1 hour, divided.Cook noodles in boiling salted water. Melt butter and saute the onion and pepper. Stir in flour and milk. Cook until slightly thickened. Stir in mushroom soup.
To assemble, place chicken pieces in a casserole dish, cover with noodles and pour milk mixture over all. Bake 30 minutes. Stir and bake an additional 15 minutes. Top with bread crumbs and bake 15 minutes more. Yield: 6 servings.
