- water - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- large fat chicken - 1 item
- large can evaporated milk - 1 item
- Crisco - 4 Tbsp
- flour enough to make stiff dough - 1 item
How to make chicken 'n dumplings:
Cook chicken in a large heavy saucepan until done. Use a lot of water to cook chicken (about 4 quarts). Set aside to cool. Debone chicken and cut into cubes. Mix water, Crisco, salt and flour for dumpling dough. Knead until fairly stiff. Roll ouRecipe categories: Soups & stews, Chicken, Poultry.
