Ingredients/Components
- shortening - 3 Tbsp
- can tomato soup - 1 oz
- can golden mushroom soup - 1 item
- medium garlic clove, minced - 1 item
- chicken parts great with boneless and skinless - 3 lb
- about 16 small whole white onions or 2 regular onions, chunked - 1 lb
How to make chicken marengo:
In large skillet, brown chicken in shortening; drain. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover; cook over low heat for 45 minutes or until tender. Stir now and then. Uncover; cook until desired consistency. Makes 6 servings.Serve with buttered noodles, vegetable and tossed green salad.
