Chicken liver stroganoff
Ingredients/Components
- slices bacon - 4 item
- sliced onion - 1 c
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- paprika - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chicken livers - 1 lb
- can mushroom pieces undrained - 1 oz
- sour cream - 1/2 c
How to make chicken liver stroganoff:
Cook bacon until crisp; drain and crumble. Set aside. Saute onion in bacon drippings. Dredge livers in 2 tablespoons flour and seasonings. Add livers to skillet and brown. Sprinkle livers with any remaining flour mixture and add bacon and mushrooms. Cover and simmer about 10 minutes. Remove to a serving platter. Blend 1 tablespoon flour, sour cream and 1/4 cup water and stir into pan drippings. Stir and cook until thick. Pour over livers.
