Chicken in sour cream
Ingredients/Components
- chicken breasts, deboned with skin off - 4 item
- butter - 6 Tbsp
- Sauterne wine - 3/4 c
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
How to make chicken in sour cream:
In heavy skillet, brown chicken in 4 tablespoons butter. Sprinkle 1/2 cup wine over chicken; cover and simmer for 25 minutes.Meanwhile, melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter in a saucepan. Cook onion until soft, but not browned. Add remaining 1/4 cup wine; slowly stir in sour cream. Add salt; heat only long enough to warm cream. Pour over chicken. Makes 4 servings.
