- large fryer - 1 item
- wide egg noodles - 1 pkg
- chicken bouillon cubes - 4 item
- minced garlic - 1 item
- pinch of basil - 1 item
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- wide chopped celery - 1 item
- chopped green pepper - 1 item
- chopped onion - 1 item
- sliced water chestnuts - 1 item
- can whole corn - 1 item
- can peas - 1 item
- cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- cream of celery soup - 1 item
- cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- soup can milk per soup - 1/2 item
- garlic clove - 1 item
- parsley - 1 item
- sprinkle of grated American cheese - 1 item
How to make chicken hot dish:
Cook chicken in kettle with water, bouillon cubes, minced garlic, chopped celery, onion, parsley, pinch of basil, salt and pepper. Strain broth and cook noodles in half broth and half water. When done, drain and set aside.When meat is cool, cut in pieces. Cook celery, onion and pepper only until crisp, not soft. Drain. Heat soups with 1/2 can milk per can. Pour soup over noodles, chicken and vegetables adding a little strained broth, if needed. Put in casserole dish and sprinkle with grated American cheese. Stir cheese throughout. Bake at 350° just until warm.
