Chicken cordon bleu
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- paprika - 2 tsp
- Dijon style mustard - 2 Tbsp
- thin slices cooked ham - 4 item
- slices processed Swiss cheese - 4 item
- chicken breasts boneless, skinless halves - 4 item
How to make chicken cordon bleu:
Place the chicken breasts on a broiler pan and brush butter on the top of each. Broil for 7 minutes at 500°. Turn over and repeat with butter. Remove chicken from broiler and brush the Dijon mustard on top of each breast. Return to oven and bake for 35 minutes at 400°. Remove chicken from oven and place one slice of cheese and one slice of ham on top of each chicken breast. Return to oven and bake for 5 minutes or until cheese melts. Turn off oven during the cheese melting. Sprinkle with paprika and serve. Serves 4.Recipe categories: Chicken, Pork, Chicken breast.
