Chicken cordon bleu
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 4 Tbsp
- water - 3/4 c
- heavy cream - 1/2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- chopped parsley - 1 Tbsp
- Swiss cheese - 2 oz
- chopped chives - 1 tsp
- fresh mushrooms, sliced - 1/4 lb
- medium yellow onion, chopped - 1 item
- margarine, divided - 3 Tbsp
- chicken breasts, boned and skinned - 4 item
- thin slices boiled ham 3-inch square - 4 item
- chicken bouillon or 2 cubes - 2 tsp
How to make chicken cordon bleu:
Flatten each chicken breast. Spread breast on a sheet of wax paper and cover with another sheet. Using a mallet or edge of saucer, pound each breast until flat, about 1/4-inch thick. Do not tear chicken. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top each with aRecipe categories: Chicken, Pork, Chicken breast.
