Ingredients/Components
- onions - 1 c
- celery - 1 c
- margarine - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- can bean sprouts, drained - 1 item
- hot water - 1 c
- cooked chicken
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- cold water
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 2 tsp
- sugar - 1 tsp
How to make chicken chow mein:
Thickening:1/2 c. cold water2 Tbsp. cornstarch2 tsp. soy sauce1 tsp. sugar Saute onions 5 minutes. Add celery, salt, pepper and hot water. Cover and cook 5 minutes. Add bean sprouts and heat to boiling point. Add thickening and cook 5 minutes.Recipe categories: Chicken, Pasta, Main dish.
