  • onions - 1 c
  • celery - 1 c
  • margarine - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • can bean sprouts, drained - 1 item
  • hot water - 1 c
  • cooked chicken
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • cold water
  • cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
  • soy sauce - 2 tsp
  • sugar - 1 tsp

How to make chicken chow mein:

Thickening:1/2 c. cold water2 Tbsp. cornstarch2 tsp. soy sauce1 tsp. sugar Saute onions 5 minutes. Add celery, salt, pepper and hot water. Cover and cook 5 minutes. Add bean sprouts and heat to boiling point. Add thickening and cook 5 minutes.
