Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- butter - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped celery - 2 c
- soy sauce - 2 tsp
- diced chicken - 2 c
- can bean sprouts - 1 item
- chicken stock - 1 c
- can water chestnuts, sliced - 1 item
- can chop suey vegetables - 1 item
- Add celery, salt and pepper
How to make chicken chow mein:
Cook onion in melted butter about 10 minutes. Add celery, salt and pepper. Add chicken stock; cover and cook 10 minutes. Add drained vegetables, water chestnuts and diced chicken; mix well and heat to boiling. Add sauce.Sauce:2 Tbsp. butter3 Tbsp. flour1 c. chicken stock2 tsp. soy sauce2 tsp. sugar Add flour and butter to make paste; add chicken stock and seasoning.
