Chicken chow mein
Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 3 Tbsp
- sliced mushrooms - 1 c
- sliced celery
- chow mein noodles - 1 item
- chicken stock - 2 c
- cooked chicken, cut in strips - 3 c
- sliced onions - 1 c
- sliced scallions - 1/2 c
- boiled white rice - 1 item
How to make chicken chow mein:
Heat oil in a saucepan. Cook onions, celery and mushrooms in it for 3 minutes. Add 1 cup of chicken stock, soy sauce and chicken; cook 5 minutes. Mix cornstarch with remaining chicken stock and stir into chicken mixture until thickened. Add the scallions. Serve over chow mein noodles which have been crisped in oven and white rice on side.Recipe categories: Chicken, Pasta, Main dish.
