Chicken casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1/4 c
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped celery - 1 c
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- hard-boiled eggs, chopped - 3 item
- mayonnaise - 3/4 c
- finely chopped onions - 2 tsp
- cooked rice
- diced cooked chicken - 3/4 c
- crushed potato chips - 2 c
- water chestnuts - 1/2 c
How to make chicken casserole:
In a large bowl, combine chicken, celery, onions, chestnuts, rice, soup, salt, pepper and lemon juice. Mix mayonnaise with water and add to chicken mixture; add eggs. Pour into a large baking dish (greased). Top with potato chips. Bake at 450° about 15 minutes or until bubbly and slightly golden brown.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Chicken breast.
