Chicken casserole
Ingredients/Components
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- butter, melted - 2 Tbsp
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- celery, chopped - 1/2 c
- slivered almonds optional - 1/2 c
- mushrooms optional - 1/2 c
- potato chips optional - 1 item
- to 6 skinless chicken breasts - 4 item
- season with salt, pepper, garlic salt and Accent to taste - 1 item
How to make chicken casserole:
Pour melted butter over chicken breasts in baking pan. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic salt or Accent. Cover and bake 1 1/2 hours at 350°. Reserve broth. Dice chicken and mix together broth and remaining ingredients. Pour into casserole dish and cover with crumbled potato chips. Bake 45 minutes at 350°. Serve with rice or Chinese noodles.Can be made day ahead and baked for second time just before serving.
