Ingredients/Components
- can sliced water chestnuts - 1 item
- onion, chopped
- slivered almonds
- can crescent rolls - 1 item
- celery, chopped
- cans cream of chicken soup - 2 item
- cans sliced mushrooms - 2 oz
- cooked chicken breasts - 4 item
- cheddar or swiss cheese, grated
How to make chicken casserole:
Simmer chicken breasts until tender, chop into bite size pieces. Saut?© celery and onion in 1 1/2 Tbsp. margarine. Mix with chicken, soup, chestnuts, mushrooms and mayo. Pour into long rectangle baking dish. Cover with crescent rolls to make crust. Top with cheese and almonds. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Chicken breast.
