Chicken cacciatore
Ingredients/Components
- boiling water - 1/4 c
- garlic powder - 1/8 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- oregano - 1 tsp
- celery seed - 1/2 tsp
- tomato puree - 1/2 c
- can tomatoes - 8 oz
- skinless chicken breasts - 4 item
How to make chicken cacciatore:
Cook onion in boiling water until tender. Do not drain. Add tomatoes, tomato puree, garlic, oregano, celery seed and pepper to onion. Simmer for 10 minutes to blend flavors.Place chicken breast halves in heavy frying pan. Pour tomato mixture over chicken. Cook, covered, over low heat until chicken is tender, about 1 hour.
