Chicken cacciatore
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1/3 c
- all-purpose flour - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- can tomato sauce - 8 oz
- celery seed - 1/2 tsp
- sliced onion - 1 c
- can tomatoes with liquid - 14 oz
- garlic to taste - 1 item
- dried sage - 1/4 tsp

How to make chicken cacciatore:
Combine flour with salt and pepper. Dredge chicken in mix. Saute in oil 4 to 5 minutes each side until brown. Remove to plate. Saute onion 5 minutes until golden. Drain excess oil. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, garlic, bay leaf, celery seed, sage and chicken. Simmer, covered, 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf.
