Ingredients/Components
- whole chicken breasts, skinned and halved - 3 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- dried onion flakes - 1 Tbsp
- green pepper, seeded and finely chopped - 1 item
- clove garlic, finely chopped - 1 item
- can whole tomatoes, mashed - 1 oz
- can sliced mushrooms, sliced and drained - 1 oz
- tomato paste - 2 tsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- leaf thyme - 1/4 tsp
- pimiento, finely chopped - 2 Tbsp
How to make chicken cacciatore:
Wash chicken pieces well and pat dry. Combine remaining ingredients in crock-pot. Add chicken pieces, pushing down into liquid to thoroughly moisten and coat. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours. Makes 6 servings, 120 calories per serving.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Casseroles.
