Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1 c
- shortening - 3 Tbsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- bay leaf - 1 item
- ketchup - 1 c
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- red wine - 2 Tbsp
- sliced onion - 1/2 c
- frying chicken
How to make chicken cacciatore:
Brown chicken in shortening. Sprinkle with pepper. Remove chicken from skillet. Saute onion and garlic in skillet until lightly browned. Stir in ketchup and remaining ingredients. Add chicken and simmer, uncovered, for 30 to 40 minutes or until chicken is tender and sauce is desired consistency.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Casseroles.
