Chicken and wild rice
Ingredients/Components
- half and half
- flour - 1/4 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- sliced almonds - 1/4 c
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chicken broth
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- parsley - 2 Tbsp
- cooked, chopped chicken
- small can sliced water chestnuts - 1 item
- box wild rice - 1 oz
- can mushrooms and juice - 1 1/2
How to make chicken and wild rice:
Saute onion and butter. Stir in flour and cook 3 minutes. Combine chicken broth with mushroom juice. Slowly stir in onion mixture. Stir in cream (half and half). Cook until mixture thickens, about 5 minutes. Add mushrooms, chicken, rice and remaining ingredients.
