Chicken and walnuts
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- cornstarch
- water - 3 Tbsp
- oil - 2 c
- walnut halves - 3 c
- soy sauce - 5 Tbsp
- chicken broth - 1 c
- chicken breasts - 5 item
How to make chicken and walnuts:
Brown chicken, if not boneless. Slice chicken into strips. Heat oil and saute walnuts until golden. Drain on paper towels. Reserve 1/4 cup oil. Saute chicken in reserved oil for 5 minutes. Add broth, cover and cook on medium-high heat for 5 minutes. In a separate bowl combine cornstarch, soy sauce and water until smooth. Add mixture and salt to skillet. Cook, stirring the sauce until thick and translucent. Add walnuts.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Poultry.
