Chicken and dumplings
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- milk - 3/4 c
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- oil - 1 Tbsp
- warm water - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- large onion, sliced - 1 item
- can chicken soup - 1 item
- to 6 chicken breasts - 4 item
How to make chicken and dumplings:
Dumplings:2 c. flour1 tsp. salt3 eggs1 Tbsp. oil1/2 c. warm water Melt a little butter in frying pan. Add onion; saute until light brown. Add chicken. Brown on both sides. Add soup, milk and lemon juice. Simmer 20 minutes. Add sour cream.Make dumplings. Add flour, salt, eggs and oil. Mix well. Add just enough water until slightly thick. Drop by teaspoon into boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and serve with chicken.
