Ingredients/Components

  • flour
  • cream - 2 Tbsp
  • sage - 1/2 tsp
  • onion salt - 1/2 tsp
  • celery salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chicken, covered with water - 1 item
  • Debone

How to make chicken and dumplings:

Cook until done; let cool. Debone. Add enough salt to broth to suit your taste. Add 1 teaspoon yellow coloring.Dumplings:2 large eggs2 Tbsp. cream1 1/4 c. flour Beat eggs and cream; add flour. Roll out on board, working in more flour, getting in as much flour as you can and still roll out. Drop in boiling broth. Cook 30 minutes after you get all dumplings in on slow bubble, or low heat.
