Chicken and dumplings



  • self-rising flour - 3 c
  • margarine - 1 Tbsp
  • can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • whole fryer - 1 item

How to make chicken and dumplings:

Boil chicken; remove meat from bones. Add 1 tablespoon margarine to broth and meat.

Cut 3 tablespoons margarine into flour as for biscuits. Add water for stiff dough. Roll out 1/4 inch thick. Cut small strips of pastry and drop into boiling broth. Cook 15 minutes. Add cream of chicken soup. Stir and serve.
