Ingredients/Components
- self-rising flour - 3 c
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- whole fryer - 1 item
How to make chicken and dumplings:
Boil chicken; remove meat from bones. Add 1 tablespoon margarine to broth and meat.Cut 3 tablespoons margarine into flour as for biscuits. Add water for stiff dough. Roll out 1/4 inch thick. Cut small strips of pastry and drop into boiling broth. Cook 15 minutes. Add cream of chicken soup. Stir and serve.
