  • milk - 1/2 c
  • flour - 3 c
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • stick oleo - 1 item
  • chicken hen - 1 item
  • eggs, beaten until blended - 2 item

How to make chicken and dumplings:

Boil hen until tender. Debone the hen. Put aside. Mix the ingredients until blended well. Make dough stiff. Roll out on floured surface until thin. Cut and drop in hot broth. Keep broth boiling until all dumplings have been dropped in. Put the deboned hen back in the pot with the dumplings. Turn fire down and put the lid on. Cook until done.

These dumplings can be made ahead of time by cutting dumplings and placing on cookie sheet with wax paper between layer and freezing. Then bag in plastic bags and place back in freezer.
