Ingredients/Components
- boneless chicken breasts - 6 item
- can condensed cream of mushroom soup - 1 1/2
- sliced mushrooms optional - 1 item
- strips lean bacon - 6 item
- dry chipped beef - 3/4 lb
How to make chicken and dried beef:
Arrange dried beef in bottom of shallow casserole. Wrap a strip of bacon around each chicken breast. Arrange over dried beef. Spread undiluted soup over chicken. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 300° for 2 hours. Increase heat to 350° and bake for another 20 to 30 minutes, basting several times. Yield: 6 servings.Note: No seasoning stipulated. You may want to add a little black pepper. The beef and bacon should season the chicken just fine. Some mushrooms may be added for beauty's sake. I have prepared this with still-frozen chicken breasts.
