Ingredients/Components
- margarine - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- chicken broth - 1 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- cream of chicken soup - 1 c
- cornbread crumbs - 4 c
- whole chicken, boned and in serving size pieces - 1 item
How to make chicken and dressing:
Saute onion and celery in margarine; set aside. Heat soups (undiluted) and pour over cornbread crumbs. Add onion and celery; mix well. Season to taste (be careful with salt as soups are already salted). Pour 1/2 of dressing into a greased 3-quart casserole dish. Add chicken; top with remaining dressing.
