Chicken and dressing



  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • melted butter - 1/4 c
  • chopped onion - 2 tsp
  • chicken broth - 1/2 c
  • sage - 1/2 tsp
  • poultry seasoning - 1/2 tsp
  • large chicken, cooked and boned - 1 item
  • 3 cans chicken gravy - 4 c
  • bread crumbs 4 c

How to make chicken and dressing:

Dressing:6 c. bread crumbs (4 c. cornbread)1/4 c. melted butter1/2 tsp. sage1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning3/4 tsp. salt1/2 c. chicken broth2 tsp. chopped onion Place chicken in large glass baking dish. Cover with the dressing mixture. Pour chicken gravy over the top of dressing. Cover loosely with tin foil. Bake at 325° until browned about 1 1/4 hours.

I use the bought chicken gravy (3 cans).
